Train Travel

The price for the 8-day trip on the "Transcantabrico Gran Lujo" hotel-train in the Gran Lujo suite (1.50m x 2m double bed or 0.85 x 2m twin beds) is EUR 8,900 per person, EUR 15,400 for single occupancy, all inclusive.
 

• Accommodation in a deluxe suite on the Transcantábrico train with a 150 cm x 200 cm double bed (or separate 85 cm x 200 cm beds), sofa and private bathroom.
•  All of the train's lounges are open 24 hours a day.
•  It is possible for the staff to collect your luggage.
•  All breakfasts, with a la carte dishes and buffet products.
•  All lunches and dinners from the top gastronomy on board the train or in the first class restaurants (including wine, water, soft drinks and coffee).
•  Welcome drink and aperitif, all non-alcoholic drinks in the suite minibar.
•  Gala dinner and end-of-trip party.
•  Toiletry bag with toiletries and slippers.
•  Activities on board: live music and performances, dances, etc.
•  Excursions and guided tours, entrance to museums, monuments and shows.
•  Luxury coach accompanying the train throughout the journey to facilitate some transfers and excursions.
•  Fees and services, CO2 compensation with atmosfair.
•  Daily newspapers and magazines.
•  You can sleep peacefully at night as the train stops and continues its journey early in the morning so you can rest. The stations have a security service.
•  A multilingual tour guide will accompany you throughout the journey.
•  An excellent team is at your disposal (expedition leader, waiters, cooks, technical staff, etc.).
•  Free train transfers in Spain (AVE, ALVIA...etc.), before and after the trip from/to the nearest railway station to your place of origin. You can also use the Club Lounges at the railway stations.

There is a first aid kit on board the train and the staff have basic training to help you. In the event of an emergency that requires more attention, you will receive all the necessary information at the health centres along the route.

Spanish nationals are entitled to medical care and medicines at the pharmacy in accordance with Spanish social security regulations. Those who belong to the European Union should find out about the agreements with each country (in general there is reciprocity), as well as the agreements with other countries. In any case, it is highly advisable for citizens of other nationalities with whom there are no agreements or treaties to take out health insurance.
 

Generally Spanish, English, French and German. If necessary, please ask for confirmation of languages other than English and Spanish.
 

Pets are not allowed, please enquire about guide dogs.
 

The trains have been remodelled and equipped with the latest technology, but as they are historic trains, their interiors are not suitable for wheelchairs or walking aids. People with reduced mobility can travel with a certain degree of independence, although it is always advisable that they are accompanied to assist them if necessary. Upon prior request, a wheelchair will be made available to the traveller. It is very important that the disabled traveller is accompanied by a person who can assist them on all journeys, as there is no staff on board or on the ground for this type of service.
 

Public Wi-Fi is available on all trains, the "Transcantábrico", "Costa Verde Express" and "Al Ándalus".
 

The cancellation fees are listed below:

- Cancellation more than 30 days before the departure date: 15% of the travel price.

- Cancellation between 30 and 15 days before the departure date: 25% of the travel price.

- Cancellation between 14 and 5 days before the departure date: 50% of the travel price.

- Cancellation between 4 and 1 day before the departure date: 80% of the travel price.

- Cancellation less than 24 hours before the departure date or no-show: 100% of the travel price.
